| Arrows | Tracker System |
The arrows are user interfaces which look like ordinary buttons with an arrow pointing away from the track.
When the scrollbar is not involved in a complex mouse operation, clicking arrows generates line operations. Right-clicking them generates tracklevel operations. However, if there is no sufficient track area, right-clicking them generates property sheet operation.
The arrows are correspondingly disabled if no further line operation may be executed when the position is already at its minimum or maximum. However, tracklevel operation may still be done even with a disabled arrow. During the latter operation, if successful, both the arrow and the finetracker are visually in a pressed state. If no more tracklevel operation may be executed, as when the tracklevel is either at the minimum or maximum, or there is no tracklevel, no changes in state take place with the arrow or the finetracker.
Arrows may be set to generate line operations only in specific situation. For more details, please see Independent Arrow Operations. They may also be disabled programmatically even when the default conditions are not met.
The min arrow is located either at the top of a vertically oriented scrollbar or at its left if horizontally oriented. When the Invert property is cleared; clicking the arrow, when the scrollbar is not involved in a complex mouse operation, decrements the position by one item. Right-Clicking it decreases the current tracklevel by one. When the Invert property is set; clicking the arrow, when the scrollbar is not involved in a complex mouse operation, advances the position by one item.
The max arrow is located either at the bottom of a vertically oriented scrollbar or at its right if horizontally oriented. When the Invert property is cleared; clicking the arrow, when the scrollbar is not involved in a complex mouse operation, advances the position by one item. Right-Clicking it advances the current tracklevel by one. When the Invert property is cleared; clicking the arrow, when the scrollbar is not involved in a complex mouse operation, decrements the position by one item.
